The Poppy Leaded Glass Windows: Winton House, Wausau, Wisconsin, 1905-06

New York: Bernard Goldberg Fine Arts, 2007. George Washington Maher, based in Chicago and a practitioner of a Prairie School style, designed the Winton house in Wausau in 1905-06. The house was demolished in 1976 but this arched stained glass window with two vertical panels was salvaged. Redfield describes the motif of poppies in the design of the house’s interior and, more specifically, in these windows. First edition.
