Privately Printed: 1919, Bosworth’s detailed description of the gardens and landscapes he designed for the Rockefeller family estate at Kijkuit, at Poncantico Hills. The gardens, begun in 1907 and with further improvements made in 1912, are mostly in the Beaux-Arts style and include a Japanese garden and temple. The gardens, house, and outbuildings are shown in fifty-seven photographs by Arnold Genthe. With folding plan. 30.5 cm; unpaged [130]; illustrated from photographs and from plan; half-leaf addendum tipped-in. Smudging to bottom corners of first two leaves; foxing to front pastedown; else a very good copy in ribbon-bound boards of Asian style with light soiling. Card of last private resident laid-in.
