New York: TBA, 1936, Booklet commemorating the opening of the controversial, financially plagued span, begun in 1929, halted in 1932, and in 1933 wrested away from the city and state by the Mosesís creation, the TBA. Construction resumed with the bridge opening in 1936. With construction photographs, photographs of random improvements and new parks, a double-page aerial rendering by Spofford, and several stylized drawings by Kautzky and others. I haven't driven a horse-drawn vehicle across lately, but it used to be pretty cheap: "Passenger Auto, all types; Horse-drawn Vehicle $ .25" First edition. 28 cm; 36 pp.; illustrated from photographs and drawings.
