Sewage treatment methods are examined; facilities in NY and the rest of the country are illustrated; also with chapters on water supply and purification. D'Olier was a successful engineer and contractor and President of the Sanitation Corporation in New York. He was involved in a Queens project that caught the attention of city sewer commissioners and testified before them; later he was found dead in Queens with a bullet in his head, per the NYT. First edition. 23.5 cm; 119 pp.; illustrated from photographs and drawings. Ex- municipal dept.library copy with stamp to title page, and stamp and sticker to front cover; else a good copy in original gilt-stamped and embossed wrappers. Item #012437
