An illustrated chronicle of the heyday of the yoga promoter, showman, and spiritual entrepreneur Pierre Bernard or "The Great Oom." The controversial spiritualist eventually wound up on several estates in Nyack, NY known in the aggregate as the Clarkstown Country Club; how much conscious irony the name implies is unknown but other than lacking a golf course and racism, it was as much a country club as anything else using the name.
