Turin: Strum Group, 1972, [Three volumes] Strum Group was an ad hoc group formed specifically to provide edgy but safe contemporary "radical" material for Ambaszís 1972 "Italy: The New Domestic Landscape" exhibition at MOMA. As explained by founder Pietro de Rossi in Clip Stamp Fold, he and three colleagues used the popular medium of the "photo-novel" to discuss recent socio-political developments in Turin. Each fotoromanzo deals with a specific issue: Utopia, analyzing work by contemporary visionaries; The Struggle for Housing concerning the fate of Turinís large immigrant population, and The Mediatory City showing a pragmatic synthesis of the status quo and radical solutions. These three publications were its entire output. First edition. Three issues. 4to; 12 pp. each; illustrated from photographs and drawings. A very good set or better in original wrappers. Text in English. (Item ID: 011998)
