A documentation of Flagg's efforts to promote his new house building technique based on stone walls, a modular system of design, and standardized parts and methods. With an enormous number of illustrations based on small houses in a variety of styles for Flagg's Flegg Ridge Estate at Dongan Hills, Staten Island. Flagg was active on the East Coast from the turn of the century and is best known for the Singer Building, the old Scribners Building on Fifth and 21st Street, and the Corcoran Museum of Art. Scarce.
