Flair Complete Run 12 Issues Feb. 1950 to Jan. 1951

Complete run of FLAIR magazine (12 issues from February 1950 to January 1951) bound in 2 Flair cloth portfolios. Each issue complete with all inserts and covers intact. (Issues not bound in as a book, but each complete issue is attached to the binder and can be removed.) "Flair" was an innovative and novel life-style and fashion periodical published in 1950 by Fleur Cowles. It offered features on art, reviews of performing arts, recent developments in design and style, fashion, photography, etc., presented in new graphic formats by leading graphic artists and designers. Because of its quality and expensive production techniques, Flair could not be sustained through advertising revenue; the January 1951 issue, almost bare of advertising, was the last issue published. Complete runs of the magazine in such good condition, as protected by the scarce Flair cloth portfolio covers emblazoned with the name and logo, are not common. The cloth portfolio covers show some wear and staining. Magazines are complete and in excellent condition. Item #012882
