Proposed Designs for the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine New York. RALPH ADAMS CRAM.

Proposed Designs for the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine New York

New York: Trustees of the Cathedral, 1921. A collection of articles and illustrations originally published in The Churchman showing Cram's proposed designs for the West Front, the northern facade with spire, and Choir modification. This publication is a result of the 1920 reinvigoration of the building plan stalled since 1916 and shows Cram’s exterior perspective drawings and drawings of the proposed nave and completed choir. While Cram’s design for the Cathedral will never be fully realized, some hope persists for the eventual completion of the West Front. 28.5 cm; 10 pp.; illustrated from photographs, plan, and drawings. Marginal tears throughout; a fair copy only in chipped wrappers. Item #012841

Price: $150.00
