Norwalk Maritime Center: Feasibility Study and Development Program September 1980

Boston: Joseph A. Wetzel Associates, Inc., 1980. Proposal for the Center [now Aquarium] designed to help revive the languishing Connecticut port by developing the South Street Seaport, East. With an amazingly accurate prediction of the number of annual visitors: "...attract one-half million people annually." (p. 11); "Annual attendance averages 500,000 visitors" (Wikipedia), the plan sets out an ambitions program of restoration, new construction, and exhibits on local maritime crafts and seamanship. Now an aquarium and an Imax theatre. First edition. 21.5 cm; illustrated from plans and drawings. A very good copy in plastic comb-bound wrappers. Item #012176

Price: $50.00
