A Real Estate Opportunity for Developers & Investors: Central City District, Kansas City, Missouri

Kansas City: The Author, 1976. First edition. Oblong 4to; 18 pp.; illustrated form photographs, plans, and drawings. A very good copy in original plastic comb-bound wrappers. A proposal for a mixed residential and commercial development project on Quality Hill in KC’s central business district. The over-educated Garfinkel, who expresses himself in all caps and likes to use the word “bonified”, is happy to throw out uncooperative elderly homeowners with the help of CONDEMNATION UNDER A STATE OR FEDERAL RENEWAL PROGRAM. This plan went nowhere; according to Wikipedia all of Garfinkel’s accumulated housing stock mysteriously burned down. An interesting piece for its images of Quality Hill. Incidentally a catalog of every bad typeface designed in the 70’s. Item #011056

Price: $85.00
