Vegetables for the Epicure
London: Museum Press, (1956), 1956. First edition. 12mo; pp. xiii, 187; illustrated from photographs. Some spotting to edges, else a good copy or better in dust jacket. An attempt to upgrade the culinary habits of Great Britain through the introduction of unfamiliar byt delicious vegetables into the garden. Some of them--asparagus, haricot beans, endive--seem pedestrian to today's palates, but they must have seemed like exotic luxuries to most of post-war Britain. Item #000152
